2025 Wrap Up

As 2025 comes to a close, we are feeling incredibly grateful for the support, excitement, and love our community has shared with us this year. It has been a milestone year for Cococucumber, and we could not have done it without you!

In November, we finally lifted the curtain on Echo Generation 2, revealing the sequel during the Xbox Partner Preview showcase. The response has been amazing, and we have loved seeing the game featured in places like TurnBasedLovers’ Most Anticipated Turn-Based RPGs of 2026. We were also fortunate to have the chance to talk more about the sequel’s inspirations and direction in interviews with IGN and Windows Central.

Just a week before the sequel reveal, we brought Echo Generation: Midnight Edition to Xbox, giving players a new way to experience the world ahead of what comes next. Earlier in the year, Ravenlok: Legendary Edition arrived on Steam in April, welcoming a whole new wave of players into its dark fairytale universe.

We’re beyond excited to finally share what we’ve been working on: Echo Generation 2 has been officially revealed! Premiering during the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, the reveal trailer offers a first look at our new sci-fi tactical turn-based adventure, a bold new chapter in the Echo Generation universe!

A New Hero. A New Mystery. A New Dimension.

Set in the same world as the original Echo Generation but blasting off on a journey across the universe, the sequel takes the story in an unexpected direction.

This time, players step into the role of Jack, an ordinary dad on an extraordinary mission. Trapped in a mysterious new dimension and lost among the stars, Jack must gather his crew and battle cosmic creatures as he searches for a way home.

Featuring a mix of tactical turn-based combat and a thrillingly mysterious story, Echo Generation 2 builds upon the charm of the original while charting an ambitious new course across the cosmos.

Echo Generation: Midnight Edition – Now Live on Xbox!

We’re excited to share that Echo Generation: Midnight Edition is now available on Xbox! This updated version brings a wide range of improvements, enhancements, and new features to the original release and we’re thrilled for fans to experience it.

Before we started work on this update, we carefully combed through player reviews on Xbox, taking note of issues, frustrations, and everything in between. We’ve taken that feedback to heart. Midnight Edition is the result of that effort and is a substantial update that touches nearly every part of the game.

Whether you played Echo Generation at launch on Xbox Game Pass or are jumping in for the first time, now is the perfect moment to explore Maple Town again. There’s so much that’s been improved, polished, and added!

Riverbond Demos – EGLX, GDC, PAX East!

Hey folks, over the next month or so – to break up our long stretch of sitting down and working on game dev things – we’ll be taking Riverbond on a coast to coast demo tour to Toronto, San Francisco and Boston!
